Covid -19 League Update - 3/25/2020
by posted 03/25/2020

Greetings North Penn Little League,

We hope this email finds you well at this time. The NPLL board wanted to send out a brief email updating our families about our plans at this time for the upcoming season.

Moving forward we are following the lead of Little League International, North Penn SD, and Local/State/Federal Government officials.

WE DO PLAN ON HAVING A SEASON WHEN IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.  We will be patient and open-minded with what the season will look like when that becomes a possibility.  We are certainly sad about the current situation and not being together as a league, however people's health and the safety of our league/community members is more important than our baseball season.

That being said, we feel that community based sports will be in integral part of coming back together as community, as friends, and as neighbors when the worst of this is behind us, which is why we will do all we can to play baseball this season.  So far, our members have been incredibly patient and understanding, with very few cancellations and refund requests.  For this we thank you.  Our registration numbers are the largest they have been in over 6 years this season!  There has been a ton of great energy surrounding the upcoming in-house and travel seasons.

We will send out regular updates with specific schedule information as things become clear.  As of today, scheduled events are cancelled until further notice, including meetings, practices and opening day.  If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of us.  Until we see you again, please be safe and follow the guidelines of the powers that be.  Looking forward to better news and sunny ball games ahead…

Stay Well,

Doug Cervi, President, NPLL

Kelley Reed, Vice President, NPLL
